ROMA – Dopo le nomination per il cinema, arrivano quelle per la televisione. Tra i candidati L’Amica Geniale, la serie evento prodotta da HBO e Rai diretta da Saverio Costanzo. Tratta dall’omonimo romanzo best seller di Elena Ferrante, la serie racconta emancipazione femminile, amicizia, la storia di un intero Paese, diverse generazioni e aspirazioni. Tutto questo prende il via nell’Italia di oggi con la misteriosa scomparsa di Lila, circostanza che spinge l’amica Elena – una donna anziana che vive in una casa piena di libri – ad accendere il computer per scrivere la storia sua e di Lila: un racconto – ambientato in un rione popolare di Napoli negli Anni 50 – di un’amicizia nata tra i banchi di scuola.
Dopo il successo di pubblico e critica dalla sua presentazione alla 75esima Mostra del Cinema di Venezia, HBO e Rai hanno annunciato l’arrivo della seconda stagione: Storia del nuovo cognome sarà tratta dal secondo libro della quadrilogia della Ferrante.
