Da questi nove candidati, il prossimo 22 gennaio verrà scelta la cinquina finale che andrà alla cerimonia di premiazione, che si terrà il 24 febbraio. Dogman di Matteo Garrone non sarà tra i candidati della 91esima edizione degli Oscar. Anche se non ha ottenuto nessuna nomination, la pellicola continua ad ottenere successi e riconoscimenti. All’ultima edizione degli European Film Awards si è portata a casa ben 3 statuette per Miglior Attore, Miglior Costumista e Miglior acconciatore e truccatore.
L’Italia però ha ancora una speranza con Suspiria di Luca Guadagnino.
