ROMA – Beyoncé, Elton John, Pharrell Williams. È finalmente disponibile su tutte le piattaforme la colonna sonora de Il re leone (anche nella sua versione italiana), il live action che sarà nelle sale cinematografiche italiane dal 21 agosto.
Diciotto i brani nella tracklist del disco, disponibile anche in formato fisico dal prossimo 19 luglio. Una lunga lista di pezzi originali della colonna sonora del cartone animato del 1994 rifatti e un brano inedito. Si tratta di “Never too late”, scritto da Elton John e Tim Rice e cantato dal primo con un coro africano.
Beyoncé compare in “Can you feel the love tonight” insieme a Donald Glover. Rispettivamente i due artisti sono le voci di Simba e Nala. In Italia, saranno “rimpiazzati” da Marco Mengoni ed Elisa. Beyoncé, però, è presente anche alla traccia 14 nell’inedito “Spirit”, pezzo che sarà contenuto anche nel suo nuovo album ispirato al film. Si tratta di “The Lion King: The Gift”, in uscita il 19 luglio.
La maggior parte dei brani sono opera di Hans Zimmer, che di colonne sonore ne sa qualcosa (Batman Begins, Il gladiatore, Il re leone 1994. La lista potrebbe continuare a lungo). Tra i produttori anche Pharrell Williams.
