ROMA – Dopo il successo di The O.C. e Gossip GirlJosh Schwartz e Stephanie Savage tornano con Cercando Alaska, la serie tratta dall’omonimo best-seller di John Green, già autore di Colpa delle stelle. I creatori della serie portano sul piccolo schermo un’indimenticabile e nostalgica storia di formazione che – raccontando la vita dentro e fuori la Culver Creek Academy, un’esclusiva scuola privata in Alabama – affronta con delicatezza le paure, le insicurezze e le tappe fondamentali della vita di ragazzi e ragazze di quell’età di mezzo fra l’adolescenza e l’età adulta. I protagonisti sono Charlie Plummer, che interpreta Miles Halter nonché la voce narrante della storia, e Kristin Froseth, che interpreta Alaska Young.

Composta da otto episodi, la serie arriva il 27 maggio alle 21.15 su Sky Atlantic e Now Tv (le puntate saranno disponibili anche on demand).

LA STORIA 

Ambientata nel 2005, la serie racconta la storia di Miles Halter, un timido e introverso adolescente di Orlando ossessionato dalle “ultime parole famose” pronunciate dai personaggi famosi prima di morire. Lasciata la Florida alla ricerca del suo Grande Perché – concetto ripreso dalle ultime parole del poeta François Rabelais – Miles vivrà delle esperienze che segneranno per sempre il suo passaggio nell’età adulta nella prestigiosa Culver Creek, la leggendaria alma mater del padre. Qui stringerà immediatamente amicizia con il suo compagno di stanza, Chip Martin, un adolescente brillante e sarcastico, soprannominato da tutti “Il Colonnello”, diventando presto parte del suo gruppo di amici formato da Takumi, un giovane esperto di informatica che sa tutto di tutto gli studenti della prep school, e dalla ribelle, intelligente, bellissima e sfuggente Alaska Young, ragazza dal passato misterioso di cui Miles si innamorerà perdutamente.
