Il Decade Award: il premio alla carriera a Justin Timberlake

9 Grammy Awards, 4 Mtv Video Music Awards, 4 Emmy Awards e 3 People Choice Awards. Una carriera da solista che dura da oltre 10 anni: musica, cinema, moda e televisione. Quest’anno il Decade Award è andato al Re Mida del mondo dello spettacolo Justin Timberlake. Premiato da Kobe Briant, Justin è salito sul palco in vena di consigli ai ragazzi. Razzismo, omofobia e discriminazioni: il cantante ha parlato ai ragazzi per quasi sei minuti, incoraggiandoli a non avere paura delle loro scelte. Il suo discorso ha fatto subito il giro del web. Ecco quello che ha detto:

“Come ex adolescente, che qualche tempo fa ha fatto alcune scelte lungo la strada, io sono qui per dirvi che le vostre scelte sono importanti e lo siete anche voi.
Quello che fate è importante, non dovete fare la differenza a livello globale, fatela nel vostro quotidiano vicino a casa vostra, magari dove le persone sono diverse da voi e vedrete che con la loro diversità potranno insegnarvi qualcosa!”
