Dalla famiglia a Michael B. Jordan, a Malibu il funerale di Chadwick Boseman

ROMA – I familiari, pochi amici e alcune star di Black Panther. Si è svolto nel weekend appena trascorso il memorial di Chadwick Boseman, l’attore scomparso lo scorso 28 agosto dopo una lunga battaglia contro il cancro al colon. Un saluto triste ma allo stesso tempo pieno di gioia per quello che è stato Chadwick: una persona coraggiosa nella vita e nella sua arte, capace di raccontare storie d’impatto per le comunità di tutto il mondo.

Black Panther se ne è andato, così, davanti l’oceano, tra musica e ricordi. Accanto a lui la moglie Taylor Simone Ledward, sposata in gran segreto poco prima della sua morte, e tante co-star della pellicola Marvel, che gli è valsa una statuetta ai BET Award come Miglior attore. Tra i presenti Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o e l’amico di sempre Michael B. Jordan.

Quest’ultimo, nei giorni scorsi, ha scritto un lungo e commovente ricordo del collega. L’attore ha parlato dei momenti insieme e l’impatto di Chadwick nella sua vita: “Mi hai insegnato a essere migliore, onorare uno scopo e creare eredità. E che tu lo sapessi o meno…ti ho guardato, ho imparato e sono stato costantemente motivato dalla tua grandezza. Vorrei che avessimo avuto più tempo“.

E prosegue: “Ti preoccupavi della tua famiglia, dei tuoi amici, della tua arte. Ti preoccupavi dei ragazzi, della comunità, della nostra cultura e dell’umanità. Ti preoccupavi per me. Sei il mio fratello maggiore ma non ho avuto mai la piena possibilità di dirtelo”.

I’ve been trying to find the words, but nothing comes close to how I feel. I’ve been reflecting on every moment, every conversation, every laugh, every disagreement, every hug…everything. I wish we had more time. One of the last times we spoke, you said we were forever linked , and now the truth of that means more to me than ever. You are my big brother, but I never fully got a chance to tell you, or to truly give you your flowers while you were here. I wish we had more time. I’m more aware now than ever that time is short with people we love and admire. I’m gonna miss your honesty, your generosity, your sense of humor, and incredible gifts. I’ll miss the gift of sharing space with you in scenes. I’m dedicating the rest of my days to live the way you did. With grace, courage, and no regrets. “Is this your king!?” Yes . he . is! Una leggenda, un re lo definisce Jordan ed è così che i fan di tutto il mondo hanno visto Chadwick Boseman in questi anni. Giovedì scorso il ricordo nella città natale del 42enne ad Anderson, in Sud Carolina. La città ha organizzato un tributo pubblico per ricordare la star.

Commosso anche il ricordo social della Marvel, che ha pubblicato un video commemorativo: “Sarai sempre il nostro re”, scrivono anche loro.
