ROMA – È “Greenlight” il nuovo singolo di Lorde che riporta la cantante sulle scene musicali dopo ben tre anni e mezzo. Nel 2013, infatti, “Pure Heroine”, il suo album di debutto. “Greenlight” anticipa il secondo lavoro di Lorde, previsto per l’estate e intitolato “Melodramma”.

“Greenlight” porta la firma di Lorde, Jack Antonoff e Frank Dukes. “Parla della mia prima grande delusione d’amore”, ha raccontato Lorde in una recente intervista. “È un brano su quei momenti in cui la tua vita cambia e su tutte le piccole cose che succedono quando finisce una storia e si ricomincia. Vi farà ballare”, ha assicurato alla fine. Un concetto che ha ribadito anche attraverso i suoi social: “Sono molto orgogliosa di questa canzone. È diversa e quasi inaspettata. È complessa. È divertente, triste e gioiosa e vi farà ballare”.

Lorde ha pubblicato anche il videoclip della canzone, diretto da Grant Singer. Video che in poche ore ha raggiunto quasi quattro milioni di visualizzazioni, rientrando alla numero 25 delle tendenze di Youtube. Su Instagram, invece, la giovane cantautrice ha regalato ai fan tanti scatti inediti del backstage del video, oltre che alla copertina di “Melodramma”.
